Christmas 2014

It’s Christmas time! It’s that time of year when we all gather with our loved ones. We get together with our families, friends and those family members we don’t get to see that often. We prepare large meals with all the fixings in most cases. What is your traditional main course? We usually prepare ham. Some of you traditionally prepare turkey or prime rib and yes, I hear some people even have pizza! Actually, that makes complete sense to me, because with all of the hustle and excitement of opening presents, partying and playing games, who really wants to spend most of the day over a hot stove or taking care of all those leftovers and cleaning all of the pots, pans and dirty dishes?

So spend the time with family. Also let us not forget what the occasion is all about. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, our savior. Between gifting, decorating partying and taking the kids to see Santa Clause, the real reason for the season is often lost. For many, this time of year is a sad one. It may be the time of year when some have lost loved ones. It may be another reminder that we’re unemployed or really don’t have anyone close. Take time to pray for those less fortunate or for those that are feeling loss right now.

If you’re in a cold part of the country, I hope you enjoy a white Christmas, though I also hope you don’t get icy precipitation or a blizzard. If you’re in a warm part of the country, I hope your weather is mild and pleasant. Do you decorate palm trees? If you’re in the tropics, perhaps on a Caribbean island, I’m jealous but happy for you. I’ll never forget my February vacation several years ago with my now husband in Jamaica. The weather was perfect and if it did rain, it was overnight and gone the next day. He proposed to me on the beach.

It’s been a rather rough road since then, but I’m grateful for all that I do have, my husband, our family, our health and my new business. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and may God bless you and yours. Annette Bordua of Jewelry in Candles.

Christmas Snow

I grew up in Michigan as did my husband. We spent years shoveling our drives and sidewalks. We’d sweep snow off our vehicles and scrape ice off of windows before heading in to work and again before we headed back home. We wore layer upon layer of clothing to ward off the bitter cold. I sometimes wore a scarf over my face to fend off the icy wind while my husband wore a balaclava. When he was younger he enjoyed the snow because he was a skier. As we both grew older we grew wearier of fighting the seasonal snow and ice. We eventually moved from Michigan to Texas and now we’re in S. Carolina. Do we miss the snow and cold? Absolutely not except for one thing. It’s pretty after it first comes down and before the snow plows run and pour salt on the roads. Don’t get me wrong, we still appreciate a nice, moderate snow fall IF it comes on Christmas. Other than that, we’ll leave it for our ‘northern’ friends.

Christmas is so special. Families gather for good food and exchanging presents. Children’s faces light up when they discover that new toy they’ve wanted. Husbands, wives, boyfriends and girlfriends smile when they see how thoughtful their partner was. The scent of pine is all over as well as other scents like cranberry, holly and cinnamon. Many of us enjoy the taste of eggnog and mourn it’s disappearance after the holidays are over.

Do you visit friends before the big day to drop off a ‘little something?’ I know people do lots of baking not only for their families but for their close friends and they’ll make a visit to deliver them. Before we moved, every year we’d have one or two friends that we’d visit and not only share a drink, but give them a bottle of something they liked. Those days are over for us at least until we make new close friends. We do have adult children near so we’re not alone at all. Our Bengal Cats prevent us from decorating much but the kids all decorate.

We can however enjoy the scents of Christmas. We burn candles. That’s right, we’ll burn candles in the scent of blueberry pie, Christmas wreath, eggnog, cinnamon, pumpkin, chocolate and many others. You can too. Jewelry in Candles has a wide selection of holiday scents in tower candles and wax tarts. They also have the more traditional scents too like baby powder, clean cotton, vanilla and more. They’re 100% natural soy so there’s no side effect and each candle and tart comes with a piece of jewelry hidden inside. If you act now, you’ll probably receive your order in time for Christmas. Why don’t you SHOP NOW? I’m sure you’ll find something that you or someone else would enjoy. #JICRocks #candles #DiscoverJIC #LOVEJIC

Why All Natural Soy?

The Wax in Jewelry in Candles

Some makers try to tell you that you can’t make a good candle out of pure soy, partly because you encounter cosmetic problems. I beg to differ. When properly poured, any type of wax will produce a quality, flaw free candle. Also, 100% soy candles DO hold their fragrance well.

Oils

One reason our candles hold their scent for so long is because all natural essential oils are used to not only hold the fragrance in but also aid in the longevity of the candle itself. Beware of reading terms like blends and artisan. Just what does this mean?

All Cotton Wicks

It’s simple. All cotton wicks are used. Nothing is added to retain stiffness. It’s simply not necessary. Most people know that before you light or relight a candle you should trim the wick to about ¼”. You don’t need stiffness.

Hidden Surprise Inside

Every tower candle and wax tart comes with a hidden piece of jewelry inside. The value can range from $10 to thousands of dollars. You just won’t know until it’s revealed during the burn. But here’s the thing. You can CHOOSE the type of jewelry you get when you order. You don’t have to settle for a pair of earrings or a ring. You can choose between either of them or a necklace. Why limit your options?

So here’s the bottom line. If you’re shopping around for a scented candle for a gift, look at the ‘about’ section at the website to see how the product is made. If it’s hard to find a description or if they’re vague by using special ‘terms’ I’d just be careful. If you don’t want any worries, try Jewelry in Candles. We’re a straight forward company with quality, long lasting products. Enjoy!

The Aromas of Christmas

Do you like a crackling fire or the smell of fresh pine? Do you roast chestnuts?

In early December many people start their holiday baking. They’ll make pecan, apple and cherry pies and put them in the freezer until the big family gathering. Soon, they’ll start baking carrot bread, banana nut bread, sugar cookies, and Christmas cookies in the shape of stars, snowmen, Christmas trees and angels. Perhaps you’re one of those talented people that make an awesome gingerbread house.

Parties will take place with eggnog, different varieties of wine and foods like vegetable trays with dips, breads, pickles, crackers and delicious cheese balls. All of these things bring with them a certain aroma. During this time of year our homes are filled with the aromas of Christmas. I can smell the scent of hot spiced wine even as I write this.

Christmas is just 18 days away. That means you only have 17 days left to shop for all of those presents. Why knock yourself out fighting crowded stores, searching through multitudes of possible gifts and looking for sales? I remember when people would pour through catalogues ahead of the season and send their orders in and a few weeks later their order would arrive in the mail.

The internet has made shopping much easier today. We can sit in the comfort of our home, shop online and order right then and there. The order might arrive in just a few days and you didn’t have to go anywhere, fill out a paper form, put it in an envelope, stick a stamp on it, mail it in and wait.

Okay. I’ve been talking about the wonderful scents that Christmas brings. Everyone likes a nice scent wafting through their home. Scented candles make excellent gifts. If you’d like to give your sister or someone else a scented candle for Christmas there are a wide variety of scents available. You don’t have to pick a Christmas scent either. Traditional scents like vanilla, lilac, baby powder and lavender are very popular. Fruit scents like apple and black cherry are also popular. You could even be a little different and go for the scent of leather or Caribbean teakwood.

All of these scents and many more can be found at Jewelry in Candles. The candles and wax tarts are 100% soy with essential oils, so the gift recipient won’t have an allergic reaction to them. Soy candles last longer than paraffin wax candles and they won’t stain your walls either! So why not relax, shop from the comfort of your own home and find the perfect candle for those special people on your list? They’ll enjoy the scent long after the holidays!

How to Make an Impression

We all want to be remembered in good ways don’t we? It’s really not that hard to make a good impression on someone. All it takes is a friendly smile/greeting and a few other things. Believe it or not, smiling is contagious. If you smile at someone you’ll usually get a smile back. When you meet someone give them a firm handshake even if you’re a woman. Mind you, I said firm. You don’t have to be robust about it, but you don’t want to be timid either.

Eye contact: When you’re talking to someone look into their eyes and try not to wander off to other areas. By maintaining eye contact you’re making it personal and you’ll garner more interest.

Interrogation: Don’t actually grill people but you should be curious about the person you’re talking with. Take an interest in their background, their job or career and their interests. If you find something in common go with that and you’ll develop a two way exchange. This will make your bond stronger.

Body language: Never cross your arms across your chest. This communicates “I don’t really like you, leave me alone. Don’t have your hands on your hips either. Instead open yourself to the person with your hands by your side and palms somewhat foreward.

If you develop a rapport with them then maybe you can exchange phone numbers or e-mail addresses and go from there.

Gifts: I’m assuming now that you’ve developed a friendship with someone fairly new. What now? Small gifts of friendship go a long way in building a relationship. Don’t make it anything extravagant, maybe a little something for their home or office. House plants (not flowers) are a good start. There may come a time for flowers.

Once your friendship becomes stronger you can get a little more extravagant without appearing over anxious. Scented candles are an excellent way of expressing your friendship to or even love of someone. It’s simple, non-committal and almost everyone loves them. You can pay as little as $5 for a small wax tart found at your local store or as much as $50 for a fancy tower candle from gift shops or specialty web sites.

Have you considered a scented candle with jewelry hidden inside? There is such a thing. Tower candles come in a variety of scents and colors. It’s also the holiday season and there are new scents of pine, eggnog and baked goods available now. If you don’t want to spend quite that much money, go for a wax tart. Go for tarts that last 60 hours or more. They’re well worth the higher price. If your intended recipient is allergic to most candles, or even if you’re not sure, you can’t go wrong with all natural, soy based candles and tarts. If they’re infused with essential oils, they’ll last longer. Why not give them a Bayberry, Blueberry Pie or Gingerbread candle or tart with jewelry hidden inside. They’ll love it and the impression you’ll make will lastfor a long time! #scent #jicscents #IheartJIC #LOVEJIC #http://bit.ly/AnnettesJIC

Take Time to Relax

With the holiday season upon us it’s easy to get caught up in the rush of things. We have to go out in the crowded malls and stores to find that perfect gift for someone special. We have parties to plan and attend. Many of you may have your home decorated for the season, but some of us like to wait a bit. Do you have your tree yet?

On top of that, you have the holiday meals. We have to plan menus, buy all of the ingredients, bake things ahead of time, etc. etc. Are you traveling somewhere? You have tickets to buy and reservations to make. Maybe you’re expecting company from out of town. You want to make sure your house is clean or maybe reserve them a room at a hotel or motel. You’ll want to have snacks around.

At this time of year it’s easy to get stressed out. One of the most stressful things for me is coming home from even small errands and the traffic is just crazy. It’s slow, people dart in and out without thinking and common courtesy seems to be lost. After a long day of all this I’m ready to relax. I’ll put on some music and light a candle. Some of the most relaxing scents for me are Baby Powder, Clean Cotton, Teakwood and Coconut. Floral scents help to soothe my spirit too.

Some of the best scents come from Jewelry in Candles. They’re 100 percent soy wax with essential oils, so they’re not harmful to you. Each tower candle and tart comes with a piece of jewelry hidden inside too. Scented candles make excellent gifts and today you can get one free when you buy two! This includes Floral scents and relaxing ones like I mentioned and more! Why not browse through them and see if there’s not something you’d like. Then sitback and relax! #scent #jicscents #IheartJIC #LOVEJIC

And They're Off!

Oh my, the holiday shopping season is here! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. After celebrating and giving thanks with family and friends Black Friday once again arrives. We all know what that means. Heavy traffic and snarl ups. Please watch out for drivers darting about trying to make lane changes. It also means packed parking lots, crowded big box stores and malls. Personally, I prefer to avoid the stress, even if it means missing out on sale prices. I value my sanity too much.

You don’t have to deal with the crowds either. Many, if not most of the items you’re probably looking for are probably available online and should arrive in time for Christmas! Big box stores have web sites; there is Amazon, e-Bay and Alibaba. Most specialty stores have web sites. Whether you’re looking for sweaters, shoes, toys, music, home dĂ©cor or kitchenware, you can find it online and probably at good prices.

One good choice for gifting is a scented candle. A scented candle lasts, providing a pleasant aroma wafting through the home long after you’ve left. Some people complain about reaction to burning candles. That’s why you should choose soy based candles. These are completely natural and made from soy beans. They’re not petroleum based which is the main culprit for irritation and wall stains. Also, when you purchase a soy candle, you’re supporting farmers!

Jewelry in Candles’ candles are 100% soy made with essential oils and natural cotton wicks. They come in many different scents, some especially for the holiday season. What’s more, each tower candle and wax tart comes with a hidden piece of jewelry inside! When you order online you can choose between a necklace, a ring in the size you want or earrings. The best part is that right now, today on Black Friday, many scents are ‘Buy One – Get One Free!’ Why not shop my store now and avoid the chaos? #scent #jicscents #IheartJIC #LOVEJIC #http://bit.ly/AnnettesJIC

Holiday Scents

Thanksgiving is in less than a week and then the Christmas shopping period before the big celebrations of Christmas! Oh my! Everyone is busy decorating their homes with autumn colors and Thanksgiving dĂ©cor. Adding some special scents to the atmosphere give a little something to your home and everyone’s spirits.

Everyone is already looking forward to the aromas and tastes of that holiday turkey, and baked goods. I know I can wait until I smell and taste the homemade goodness. But why suffer until then? By adding some cinnamon incense or scented candles in the right aromas will keep you vicariously satisfied until that big day with family. While you’re planning the menu, and putting your groceries away for that celebration, why not light something that will reflect the same, pleasing aromas of Thanksgiving dinner?

Scented candles fit right in! Imagine smelling the scent of Blueberry Pie, Cinnamon or Banana Nut Bread until it comes time to actually bake the treats! It will ease your way into the holiday without the ache of waiting for the special occasion to get here.

What about after Thanksgiving? Well, then the busy shopping season begins! Oh, the choices we have to make, the added traffic, trying to find a parking spot at the mall and big box stores and the crowds! It’s enough to make the most staid person frustrated, isn’t it? When your long day fighting crowds and standing in long lines finally ends and you return home, wouldn’t it be nice to have the soothing scent of Lavender or Baby Powder wafting through your home to help you relax? It’s been proven that certain scents DO soothe you. Jasmine and the scent of Clean Cotton are two others.

Inevitably we all end up with someone for whom you just can’t decide what to buy for as a Christmas present. Who said you absolutely have to open presents ON Christmas day? By giving a holiday themed scented candle to someone before Christmas allows them to add to their holiday home decor before the big day. The scents of a Christmas wreath, Eggnog, Bayberry, Gingerbread and Peppermint would truly fill the recipients home with the aromas of the Christmas season for all visitors to enjoy when they come calling to visit.

While we’re talking about scented candles, soy candles are simply the best. They’re not petroleum based but made from all natural soy beans, meaning there’s no harmful chemicals being released irritating you and there is little to no staining to your walls. The best ones also use all natural essential oils in their make up. The scented candles from Jewelry in Candles are 100% soy with all natural essential oils. The wicks are 100% cotton. These are the reasons that make these candles such a value. The candles burn for 100 plus hours and the wax tarts burn for a total of 60 plus hours! Try finding that in your local stores. Oh, I forgot to mention that each candle and tart comes with a hidden piece of jewelry inside ranging in value from ten dollars to thousands of dollars! Now what do you say about the ‘value’? Why not shop now and get a jump on that shopping? Enjoy!

The Benefits of Massage Therapy

Massage therapy has been practiced for centuries. In fact the methods encourage healing by promoting blood flow, relieving tension, stimulating nerves as well as stretching and loosening muscles and keeping connective tissues elastic.

Massage therapy is also beneficial due to the reduction of waste products such as lactic and carbonic acids that build up after a cramping, discomfort and irritability causing activity. With therapy, your immune system can be enhanced and it will aid in the recovery of tissues and increasing your blood circulation.

During illness, massage therapy dilates and opens up blood vessels, improves circulation and relieves congestion. It also increases your red blood cell count for those suffering from anemia.

Massage therapy also acts as a mechanical cleanser pushing along the lymph and hastening the elimination of wastes and toxic debris. It helps eliminate edema or dropsy of the extremities. It increases blood supply and nutrition to the muscles. It helps you overcome harmful fatigue resulting from strenuous exercise or injury.

Massage therapy will also improve muscle tone and prevent or delay muscular atrophy resulting from forced activity, relax muscle spasms and relieve tension.

There are more benefits to massage therapy than I’ve mentioned here. But how do you get the most out of the practice? You must be in a relaxing environment. How can you possibly relax if there are laughing, running kids around?

Choose a quiet room with pleasant CALMING music in the background. Some plants and familiar pieces of art help create your peaceful environment. Many people use fragrances such as incense and scented candles to aid in the atmosphere. If you plan to use candles for aroma therapy, I suggest you stay away from paraffin wax candles. These are made from harmful petroleum products which many people develop allergic reactions to. They also tend to discolor our walls.

A good alternative to these are soy based candles. These types of candles are all natural and are made from soy beans. Many also include the good, essential oils. Using soy wax candles for your massage therapy sessions, or just to relax will do wonders for your spirits.

Making Your Break!

Do you want to know how to make money? There are all kinds of ways to make money, just look at all of the work at home offers you see online. Do you have a skill that others could use? Do you have a product that you can produce and sell? You can hang out your shingle and offer your product or service to waiting customers.

Maybe you don’t have either of these. Peruse the work at home ads. The important think is finding one that suits YOU. Decide if you want to do cold calling door to door sales, or phone networking, live events, online or any combination of these,

So now let’s say you have a product to sell. Your first responsibility, even before you run one ad, or head out the door with high hopes, is to learn. Learn ALL YOU CAN about the product and company you signed up with. You want to be able to answer almost any question that may be asked of you.

Now let’s say they’re car alarms. How do you market them? You could go door to door and give your prospective customer your spiel about its quality and reasonable price. Or in the case of personal care products, you could go on and on about how good they feel, and how good they’ll make you look. You’d probably get turned away over and over again.

Why? You have a good product or service, and you’ve explained all of that. You need to look beyond the product or service. You need to look at the benefits. Show your customers the need that will be filled, the desire that will be fulfilled. What will the product do for your customers? If you’re selling car alarms, do some research and find out how many auto thefts have occurred in your area and give them that information. Are you selling cosmetics? Appeal to the woman’s desires or the desire of her husband to make her happy. Go beyond the product and promote the benefits.

If you’re not only selling a product online, but offering a business opportunity such as an
MLM or affiliate offer, use an expert. Most of these type of companies have videos made for you that talk about the company and what it will do for you if you sign up. Watch these over and over to learn and USE them to promote your own offer. Explain the buy in cost. Nobody likes surprises. After you explain the opportunity, tell them the cost of signing up and any monthly charges. Of course, also explain the potential for financial gain. Don’t promise the world. All business requires work and no one will become rich overnight.

I happen to have found a great company! In fact it’s the first company I’ve actually made money with after several years of trial and error. It has a great support system and a good pay system. Why not take a look at Jewelry in Candles now. If it’s not for you, I understand. But I can tell you that it’s one of the fastest growing companies out there and I’m proud to be a part of it.

Paraffin vs Soy - FREE SIGN UP!

Did you know that there’s a distinct difference between Paraffin wax candles and candles made from natural soy?

Paraffin wax candles are made from petroleum products. That’s the reason you end up with stained walls from the smoke. It’s also why some people believe they can’t burn candles in their homes. They have allergic reactions to the chemical content in them.

Paraffin wax has a high burning point, meaning the candles don’t burn as long, and you end up replacing them sooner than you should have to.

So when you burn one of these and inhale the fragrance you’re not only getting the sweet aroma, you’re also inhaling the chemicals that may irritate sensitivities that you may have.

Along comes the natural soy wax candle. Our soy wax candles are made from soy beans. They’re completely natural.

What does mean to you? There are no harmful chemicals to irritate you. Most EVERYONE can burn them in their home worry free. There is not the wall staining smoke like that of a paraffin wax candle. They have a lower melting point meaning that they’ll last much longer. Another benefit to this is that if you accidentally spill melted wax on yourself, it won’t burn you.

Since it’s all natural, you can actually use the wax as skin cream!

Think about this too. When you purchase a paraffin wax candle, you’re helping to support the petroleum industry. When you purchase a soy wax candle, you’re helping support the American farmer!

Now then, have you ever considered earning money from home by marketing scented candles, ones with jewelry inside? Now is the time to take that next step. This week ONLY, signing up is FREE! Find our more here!

How to Make Chocolates

Did you ever wonder that? In brief, they're made from bitter cacao beans and folded into chocolate bars. If you were a large chocolate company you'd need tons of them. Here's a guide to the production process.

First of all you have to harvest the cacao beans. Large companies either buy them from growers or they buy the farm and then harvest the beans. They place them into an oven at between 250 to 325 degrees F. for 5 to 35 minutes. You gradually lower the temperature and stop roasting when they start to crack. Their two reasons for the time variance.

The first is to prevent the beans from burning. The second is that the cooking time of cacao beans varies  according to bean type.

Companies produce chocolates in huge quantities and therefore, the beans are stored in drums and rotated over gas grills. Once they're roasted, they must be cracked into small bits, or 'nibs', removing those that can't be cracked.

Next is grinding them into a cacao liqueur. You need a machine to liquefy this while separating the remaining husks that weren't culled after roasting.

Then you conch and refine the chocolate so that you're able to give it a distinct taste. This is what makes the different tastes of product between the large chocolate producers.

First melt the chocolate and cocoa butter in an oven at around 120 degrees F. Then mix non fat dry milk powder, sugar, lecithin and a vanilla pod for about one hour. The mixture is then poured into a grinder with some heat, keeping the chocolate a liquid. Refine for at least 10 hours but no more than 36 hours.

When ready, temper the chocolate so it looks shiny and soft enough to easily melt in your hand.

We're almost finished. Mold the chocolate into your desired shape. Produce in large quantities by using molds. Pour in and after cooling, package it for delivery.

Some companies sell these in blocks so people can buy them, melt it and mold it to their own desired shapes.

Making chocolate is easy. You just have to have the equipment and all of the ingredients. Volume doesn't really matter because the principle is the same whether producing a huge batch or a small one. If you're really serious about making chocolate from scratch, try to find a class and sign up.

So what if you don't want to go to all that work and chocolate simply disappears too quickly anyway? There is another option to sort of satisfy you. How about a Chocolate Fudge scented jar candle? This candle fills your home with the scent of creamy milk chocolate, creating a satisfying ambiance and leaving your mouth watering. Plus, it comes with a jewelry surprise inside!

Meditation: A Stress Management Key

Have you ever seen a person break down in depression, or become incapable of thinking clearly during times of great need or experiencing problems in their life? These people let stress run their lives and it's not a pretty sight. The only way to free yourself from stress is making sure you don't let it rule you.

The Mind

Our mind is the first to be affected by stress. The harmony of our thoughts can be disrupted if worries and problems take over our consciousness and control our thinking. Quarrels and fights and financial worries can have devastating affects on our mind. The first thing that should be done when that happens is relax.

Easing your mind is a good way to control stress but it's not an easy thing to do. It takes concentration and willpower. There are ways to help your mind to relax. Aromatherapy is one such tool you can use. Having the scent of lavender or jasmine drifting through the air can put you in  a meditative state as long as you concentrate, and help you relax almost immediately. Scented candles are excellent for this as are incense or oils.

Meditation

If you're under stress, it's almost impossible to find a solution to the problem at hand. Learn to focus your energy to let your mind relax. You can DO this through meditation.

Meditation allows you to focus your mind on one thing while the other things drift away. There are meditation classes that will guide you through steps on how to make your mind relax and meditate and stay there during stressful times. This allows you to focus on a single thought, like finding a solution to your problem without the worries and anxiety getting in the way.

The Steps

Step one is to look for a peaceful setting. Stress management starts with serenity and solitude, so pick a location that is quiet and peaceful so you can start meditating. Pick a room in your house that is conducive to meditating, or if there is too much activity in the home, find a quiet outdoor location.

Once there, focus your mind on specific parts of your body. Begin with your toes and work your way up and throughout the rest of your body. Close your eyes to keep visual distractions out of your mind and concentrate on each area, telling it to relax. Once you're completely relaxed, focus on a solution to whatever problem you have. You may experience a slight heaviness when you've relaxed. This is normal for beginners, but you'll soon get over this.

Focus on a question, such as a solution, with your mind. You may find that thoughts appear and disappear. Make a note of these and try not to focus on them too much, or the purpose will be defeated. It's like watching a movie, let the scene pass.

The next time you have a problem that stresses you out, meditate, ease your mind, and come up with a logical solution.

Personal Stress Management

Recognizing the symptoms of stress is easy. However, many people don't understand the true definition of stress and resort to medications and herbs to get rid of stress without figuring out the cause of their stress. Hastiness will lead only to temporary relief and return once the medication has worn off.

Personal stress management means making your own routines which allow you to cope with problems and avoid possible stress symptoms in your daily life. Here are a few tips to help you rid yourself of stress in your own way.

Understanding is Key

Know what stress really is and how it can affect you. Stress is a scenario of events that effect emotional, mental and physical faculties negatively. Usually, stress starts in the mind, branches off and effects your emotions. Left uncontrolled it will begin taking its toll on your physical body.

Reflect on your problems. Take time to figure out what in your life stresses you. You can keep a daily diary or make a list of your problems on paper and try to analyze each one. Being able to narrow the causes of your stress will enable you to find ways to rid yourself of stress. Talking to people close to you is a great way to deal with it also. Stress is a bottle up emotion and unless you find a way to release it, it'll blow up inside you creating a very unpleasant situation for yourself and those around you.

Help Yourself

Make it go away. So you've figured out how stress affects you. Medicating or using home remedies only lead to temporary fixes. You need to use your mind. Stress usually shows itself when we think about our problems. When your problems control you, the affects will be felt immediately.

You need to relax and face stress head on. Figure out the cause and find a solution. Music and meditation are a good start to calming your mind, allowing you to make better, thought out decisions. Aroma therapy can help relax your mind. Certain scents are proven to have a calming effect and will help clear your head. Scents such as lavender and jasmine are excellent. I love having scented candles around the home. Not only do they calm you, but the aroma makes the room more pleasant smelling and comfortable.

Start Small

When even one problem appears, deal with it. Obviously problems predate stress. Stress multiplies just as your problems pile up. If an event, whether in your career or your personal life enters, try dealing with it immediately. Don't let your work pile up or you'll just compound your problems and thus, your stress.

The secret of stress management is identifying the cause of stress in your life. Make your own routine to help you deal with it and cope with any future problem that will cause you stress.

A fun wordsearch for you.

Romano and Julia

Here's a short story for you:

Julia wasn't the prettiest woman in the land. In fact, she was quite plain. Neither could she afford the finer like other women, as she had come from a poor family that worked hard for what little they did have. However, like so many young women, Prince Romano caught her eye. She'd watch him as he rode his white steed through the streets of Verona. As was his custom, the Prince would often visit the homes of the people living there. These visits were meant to both encourage the people under his fathers rule and also to build good relations between the civilians and the monarchy.

On one such day, Prince Romano came knocking on the door of Julia. She was embarrassed by her looks and dull frock but she welcomed him into her modest home and bade him to have a seat. She offered him herbal tea and he thanked her. As they spoke to one another the Prince noticed that he was more relaxed there than he had been in any other home. Julia also had and enthralling smile and a glint in her eyes.

You see, Julia always thought it important to maintain a calming atmoscented candles sphere in her home, and put her best foot forward when entertaining company, no matter whom the visitor. She kept herbs in pots growing in the home and lit scented candles throughout, to bring the natural scents of nature inside.

Prince Romano took to visiting her often and they soon fell in love and married. What is the moral of this story? To win over your love interest, calm them and let your inner self come through.

Cleopatra and Mark Antony

In 31 BC, the army of Rome, led by Octavian, brother of Octavia, attacked Egypt in an effort to break up Cleopatra and Mark Antony. Mark Antony had left his wife, Octavia, for the enthralling Cleopatra. Rather than be apart, the two lovers committed suicide. This is considered one of the greatest love stories of all time. While your love story may not be famous, it most likely still gives cause for celebration. Why no do so by rewarding your love with a nice candle lit dinner? There are many scents you could use to increase the atmosphere with, ranging from the sweet aromas of desserts, tropical fruits, and delicate floral scents and relaxing ones like vanilla and baby powder. And down the road, your love interest will find something very special to remember you by.
